We can do more to improve patients’ experiences

The Surrey Digital Roadmap is the strategy for The Centre For Health Reform’s digital workstream. It has three core objectives:

  • Establish the governance and resources needed to support and deliver the roadmap.
  • Drive digital transformation.
  • Optimise information management and technology across The Centre For Health Reform.

The Centre For Health Reform is committed to using digital technologies to support and complement existing physical, social and mental healthcare services. By embracing open innovation, we will also explore new ways of delivering services using technologies that are appropriate to people’s needs.

One area under consideration is the development of an Integrated Digital Care Record for the population served by The Centre For Health Reform. This could mean patients only having to tell their story once, as authorised clinicians involved in their care would be able to access relevant medical information. Any proposals would be discussed with patients and the public before implementation.

Experience-based co-design will enable people in Surrey to engage meaningfully with digital solutions. The aim is to give people greater autonomy and help them take more responsibility for their own health and wellbeing.
